In the pages that follow you will read about some of the most influential people in the history of bowhunting in Wisconsin. These were the folks who had the vision to develop effective archery equipment that the common man could afford to purchase and become proficient with.
They were the champions of early bowhunting, proving that archery equipment was an effective, humane way of harvesting both small and large game. They were the leaders who realized the only way the sports of archery and bowhunting could grow would be to bring like minded people together. The resulting associations they established be they fraternal or trade related, proved to be the launching pad for archery and bowhunting as we know them today.
These are the people who created Wisconsin Bowhunting.
As you read on and learn about these pioneers of modern Wisconsin archery, take a moment to reflect on the impact they have had on your ability to participate in and enjoy your bowhunting experiences. The next time you harvest an animal, think about these folks and offer a silent Thank You, they certainly deserve it!
