Welcome to the Wisconsin Bowhunters Association

Wisconsin Bowhunter Association Mission Statement

WBH is a non-profit State Association formed for the purpose of promoting the sport of hunting with the bow and arrow; and to promote to that end, the education and to cultivate the social relationship, good sportsmanship and good fellowship of and among it's members.

WBH Museum Roy Case with his deer kill of December 6th, 1930 in Vilas County, depicts the first bow-killed deer in the State of Wisconsin as a sport. Roy coined the phrase “bowhunter.”Thanks to his efforts, along with others, a separate bowhunting season was established in 1934 and Wisconsin became the first state in the country to hold an archery-only deer hunt. Separate bow and gun deer hunting licenses began in 1965. The Wisconsin Bowhunting Heritage Foundation, Inc. has photos and donation options on their web page.

Presidents Message Wright Allen has been the President of the Wisconsin Bowhunters Association for the past five years. President Allen writes a message to the WBH members every Spring, Fall, and Winter.
